Jerry Manalili is art directing the latest issue of Front Runner magazine, the Philippines’ first magazine about running and he asked Johanna to illustrate one of the magazine’s stories. The article is about Rosario Velasco-Alberto (not related to Johanna) a multi-tasking mother and professional who started running eleven years ago at the age of forty and continues to do so to this day.

These are murals we did for the new corporate office of Innoland Development Corp.

Don’t let the tiny screenshots fool you, these run along two walls with a combined length of 54 feet (and about 9 feet high)

Some detail shots

Godzirrraaaaaaa!

This is the view from the office. Deep night sky where will you take us tonight?

J illustrated and designed these Christmas cards for Cebu Holdings Inc. and Ayala Land. My friend Barry says that the best way to receive a Christmas card is the old fashioned way, through snail mail and I agree. The unsealing and opening of a printed, written and delivered message is an experience that everyone should have, at least once a year.

An alternate design:

I’ve recently been working with art director Jerry Manalili who he has given me the opportunity to illustrate for the Asian Institute of Managemend and the University of the Asia and the Pacific. The work below is for their university publications, these are full page drawings and I’m glad to have the chance to get my work out there.
This one is about political representation:

This one is about bridge financing

The AIM Cover (by Jerry, I presume):
