The Game of Thrones Pop-up Book is the best pop-up book we have ever seen

Okay, it’s obvious we are big Game of Thrones nerds (we tried to build our version of the Iron Throne, after all) but lets just say we put that bias aside and just judge a pop-up book on the merit of design and craftmanship – and even then, we will have to definitely say that this newly released Game of Thrones: A Pop-Up Guide to Westeros rules them all.

Well, first off, I can almost feel my hand hurt ¬†just by looking at all the details of the paper-cut landmarks of Westeros. Then, once you get into opening the pages you’ll be surprised at how tall and enormous the fold-outs and pop-ups are – some going up to a foot high. It actually reminds me so much of the show’s equally awesome opening sequence. You should really be able to hold the book in your hands to appreciate its splendor but for now here are a bunch of photos we took of some of the pages:

And just when you thought you had seen it all, the entire book ¬†unfolds into a map of Westeros and Essos. Over 30 pop-ups in one book including Winterfell, King’s Landing, Dragonstone, The Eyrie, The Twins, Pyke, the Wall, all in magnificent, paper-cut wonder. MUSIC MAESTRO!
